About Timloc

Timloc Building Products is part of the Alumasc Group plc, a UK-based supplier of sustainable building products, systems and solutions. The group was awarded the LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) Green Economy mark in 2021.

The Mark is given to companies and funds that derive more than 50% of revenues from environmental solutions.

At Timloc Building Products, we design, manufacture, and supply sustainable building products across the UK, and have been doing so for over 50 years. This includes the Hedgehog Highway by Timloc that you see here.

As part of our continued sustainability commitment, we produced the Hedgehog Highway by Timloc to help tackle the declining number of hedgehogs across the UK.

In a triumph for hedgehog conservation, planning guidance set out by the UK government calls for small holes to be put in the base of fences in all new housing developments, creating a highway for our prickly friends to roam freely between gardens.

We regularly work in partnership with our customer base of housebuilders to help implement hedgehog highway systems on new developments. Due to the popularity of the product, we have since set up hedgehoghighway.co.uk so that existing homeowners and end users can create their very own hedgehog highways too.

How else does Timloc Building Products contribute to sustainability?

At Timloc Building Products, we take our responsibility for the environment very seriously.

We have invested in a new purpose-built facility, new energy-efficient machines and switched to LED lighting. We have added an electric car to the company fleet and our plan is to replace all cars with electric cars by 2022.

In addition, 100% of our waste is diverted from landfill, 100% of our packing is recyclable and we became the first building products manufacturer to use 100% renewable energy.

We are pleased to announce these actions have led to us becoming the first carbon-neutral building products manufacturer in the UK.
